This book is a written history of how not only the 12 apostles but people like Stephen, a mere table waiter, built the church on the foundation laid by the 4 previous books. It introduces the Gift of the Holy Spirit laid bare on all the 120 men, women & young men & women alike. There were only 12 apostles & not everyone was in the 5 fold ministry of 1. apostle, 2. prophet, 3. evangelist, 4. pastor & 5. teacher – just ordinary people like you and me.
I say this because we all have to get rid of this nonsensical notion of you have to be in the 5 fold ministry to be part of the church or to do God’s work. This is a lie of the devil & we are all part of God’s ekklesia or His Church & are the Body of Christ Jesus. Every one of us has a part to play in God’s Perfect Will & especially if you are living in these end times now!
Let’s take a look at Wikipedia’s description of the word Pentecost:
Pentecost – Christian holiday commemorating the New Testament stories of the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles of Jesus
Pentecost is a Christian holiday that takes place on the 49th day after Easter. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles of Jesus, Mary, and other followers of the Christ, while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles. Pentecost marks the “Birthday of the Church”. Pentecost is one of the Great feasts in the Eastern Orthodox Church, a Solemnity in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, a Festival in the Lutheran Churches, and a Principal Feast in the Anglican Communion.
The Book of Acts is clearly the birthplace of the modern day church beginning with everyone receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. That is everyone – now before this, the preliminary step is to accept Jesus into your heart as your Lord & Savior & confess your sins. But God’s work has only begun in your life – the next step is to be filled with the Holy Spirit & yes, pray in Tongues.
You only have to ask God for this gift & as for me, I was so confused about the Holy Spirit & praying in Tongues that I just did not do it & thought I just don’t have that gift. Just more lies of the devil & his minions & is why the modern day church does not walk in the power & authority given us first in the Garden of Eden & then back again through the Cross of Jesus.
You only have to ask The Holy Spirit to enter you & help you & lean not on your own understanding as is written in Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
The Lord says in Acts 2:17:
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”
We are in those end times and we have seen in the last few years the Prophets of God come back, old men having dreams like Timothy Dixon, young people having visions like Akiane Kramarik at 8 years old seeing Jesus face to face & painting Him, etc. There are many examples of this & once it goes on the internet it is always there as a permanent record.
I say that because there is a lot of bad things the devil intended the internet to do but God turns their evil to good on our behalf as is written in Genesis 50:20:
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”
And it is written in Romans 8:28:
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
God is truly a good good father and watches over all of His children for nothing but good. Now once the 120 received the Gift of the Holy Spirit, they acted upon it & went out in the power & authority given them through the Cross of Jesus – Jew & Gentile alike. As the Gentiles received the Christ as their Lord & Savior, they were grafted into the Abrahamic Covenant that God had with all Jewish people.
So everything God promised father Abraham now applies to all believing Gentiles as is written in Genesis 12:2-3:
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Just take a look at all the western Christian countries like America, Great Britain, Germany, France etc. All of these nations have been great Nations, been blessed & all other Nations have been blessed by them as it says in the Abrahamic Covenant God Promised. These are your 1st world countries for the most part & the non-believing countries are your 2nd & 3rd world countries & to go 1 further, look at the intelligence scores of non-believing countries.
We have been given all power & authority here on Earth over everything including the devil & his demons. We are blessed by God’s Covenant to father Abraham & highly favored. We are protected & forgiven by the Blood of Jesus Christ through the cross & by God’s ministering angels we are protected as well.
Now is the time to act like the ekklesia (body/church of Christ) & walk in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We must be Christ-centric and grounded in His Word to the renewing of our minds, being wise to win souls. Loving like Christ our enemies & Judases who could go from Sauls to Pauls to be a testimony in the hands of God that He is unconditional love.
The church has been lukewarm & allowed the devil to drive out God in our governments, schools, homes & all 7 mountains of influence. This is why America & the rest of the world is in such a mess & we all live in bondage to the modern day Babylonian system.
Pray for God’s perfect will for your life & the rest of the lives in the world, then do what God moves you to do no matter how great or small. It is written in Zechariah 4:10:
“For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”
It may seem small right now but you will look back & see God’s mighty working power in your obedience to His Perfect Will someday!
