I used to pray Psalms 90:17 and had gotten away from praying it until a couple of weeks ago. God put it in my heart to start praying it again and also put in my heart Ephesians 3:20:
[20] Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
It is written in the King James Version:
[17] And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
And it is written in the NIV:
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.
Now I gave you the KJV and the NIV versions of Psalms 90:17 so you can see that the KJV says God’s Beauty and the NIV says God’s Favor. So God’s Beauty (when He is looking upon you) and His Favor are one and the same. I personally use the KJV but it is important to study God’s Word in the different versions to get His full meaning.
It is written in John 1:1–5:
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Bible is the living word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit who the Apostle Paul was referring to in this verse as Jesus. When you study to shew thyself approved (2 Timothy 2:15) you are taking in Christ Jesus into your life that will cause you to be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Ephesians 4:23).
God is a good good father and wants only the best for all his children but religion tells us that we should be poor or suffer the things of this world for the gospel. That is how I was taught in the church and I said one time “show me an honest preacher and I’ll show you a poor man.” Man was I ignorant in that statement and was not taught the Gospel properly. That is from the devil who comes to steal, kill and destroy.
It is written in John 10:10:
[10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus says plainly here that I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. So you are to have life and have it to the fullest. That is why Jesus came to earth. It is not about what you have done or that you are worthy of God’s blessings in your life. It was a gift sent by God through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior as any good father would leave as an inheritance for their children. You were simply born into the Blood Covenant of the Cross of Jesus Christ and that makes you very rich.
Now I have been struggling here in my finances in a spiritual battle with the devil and his minions so the devil is always going to fight you. You overcome this by the renewing of your mind through the Scriptures and standing on them for God’s Perfect Will for your life.
Just look at Ephesians 3:20:
[20] Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Through the Blood Covenant of the Cross we have been given back all power and authority over everything here on earth that Eve gave the devil in the Garden of Eden. God says here that he would do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
The Bible says ask and you will receive, seek and you shall find in Matthew 7:7:
[7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
So you get what you pray for period. If you pray for healing you get healed but if you pray that God will make you whole you get that. Healing lasts for a while but being made whole lasts a lifetime. If you pray for a new job instead of praying God gives you your own business and supernatural ways of making an income, that is what you will get. Let’s say you pray God gives you a million dollars but the devil hijacks your prayer and you only get $500,000. You are still doing very well aren’t you?
We are not worthy, we are not deserving of it, we are simply God’s children and it is our inheritance. Stop listening to foolish religious teaching that says God wants you poor. This is not Holy Spirit inspired Gospel, it is inspired by the devil himself who has gotten into the modern churches.
Pray the Scriptures and stand on God’s Word with all your heart and believe it is true. Then thank Him in advance that He is indeed a good good father.
