So I was on X and met an Asian woman living in Australia. In our conversation, it came up about Jesus coming and the end times we are in. I said that it is a sin to sit around on our prayer rugs and do nothing but wait on Jesus, as Jesus told us and His disciples to “occupy until I come.”
Definition of “Occupy”

So how do we (“to take or hold possession or control of” or “to fill or perform the functions of an office or position”) if we are simply sitting on our prayer rugs waiting on Jesus to return? Does not the Bible speak to us about having oil in our jars/lamps like the wise virgins?
Matthew [25]
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. [2] Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. [3] Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, [4] but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. [5] But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.”
Matthew [7:21-23]
“[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
So, we have to ask ourselves what it means to occupy and what the will of our Father in Heaven is. The first, we see in the definition of occupy, so let’s look further at Matthew [11:12]:
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
I believe that God has shown me in the Holy Scriptures, through revelatory knowledge of the Holy Spirit, that we are in the end time, but it is not the end yet. For example, the Third Temple must be built first to fulfill the scripture of Daniel [9:24-27]:
“Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed. And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”
This is backed up by many Jewish Rabbis and Christian scholars, along with Biblical verses; Daniel 9:24-27, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17, Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31, Revelation 11:1-2, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Revelation 21:22, Matthew 24:1-51, to name a few!
We have not seen the beginning of the construction of the Third Temple, but Israel did ship the five red heifers from Texas in September 2022 that are needed for the sacrifice in the Third Temple once it is built. We all must pray in tongues and the Holy Spirit, and ask Him for discernment of the times we are living in.
Daniel [12:4]
“[4] But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
We are in the end times, and the Knowledge of God is being released, and the Mysteries of God are being revealed. Why? Let’s read Matthew [24:24]:
“[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
The Bible also says in Matthew [24:37-39]:
“[37] But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, [39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Two things are revealed here:
1. Noah was not sitting around idly; he was fervently building the ark, obeying what God told him to do over a year, while the rest of the world sat idly by.
2. God told us that the things happening on Earth in the days of Noah—which caused God to flood the earth and kill all except for eight people—will also happen in the end times, so we know what to look for.
The Three Heavens
There are three heavens the Bible speaks of:
“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows” (2 Corinthians 12:2).
So, God is in the Third Heaven, the fallen angels (evil spirits) and their offspring the Nephilim (giants) reside in the Second Heaven, and we reside in the Third Heaven here on Earth.
Luke [23:45]
“[45] for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain (Veil) of the temple was torn in two.”
The veil between the Second and Third heavens has been ripped and is getting thinner in these end times, and these evil spirits are coming through much more frequently. This is why the world is hearing rumors of wars like in Matthew [24:6]:
“[6] And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”
This is exactly what we are hearing and seeing—rumors of war and a battle of the end times for the land of Jerusalem to build the Third Temple. But the Word says, “See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”
We Must Keep Occupying
God is telling His Ekklesia (Church) that when you see these things, it is not the end; to keep occupying until He comes. On the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were given back all power and authority here on Earth to rule and reign, that Eve gave away to the devil in the Garden of Eden.
John [10:10]
“The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Daniel [7:25]
“[25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
The devil and his minions know they are lost and have no redemption, so they are trying to bring about the end and take as many people to hell with them as they can. We are made in God’s image, and this is the reason satan (“morning star, son of the dawn,” Isaiah [14:12])—he was the personal angel to Christ Jesus and was given prophecy of the coming of man who would be over satan, and satan did not like that.
Please read my other sermons on the church website about the gap between Genesis [1:1] and [1:2], and on the first flood of the earth called the luciferian flood. This is why it says in Genesis [1:2]:
“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”
This was after satan’s revolt and him flooding the earth, ruining it in hopes that man would not be created. But we are to be vigilant and occupy this world in the power and authority given to us twice—once in the Garden of Eden and through the Cross of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians [15:57-58]
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
It says clearly “always abounding in the work of the Lord,” and there is so much we should be doing in the word “occupy” alone! How can we do that while sitting on our rapture rugs waiting on Jesus? The Bible warns us about being lukewarm (Revelation [3:16]) and about idle hands like in Proverbs [12:24]:
“[24] The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the slack hand will be put to forced labor.”
2 Thessalonians [3:7-9]
“[7] For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined manner among you, [8] nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; [9] not because we do not have the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you, so that you would follow our example.”
Not only occupying but winning souls, feeding the widowed, the homeless, the poor, and the needy. We must also, like it says in 2 Chronicles [7:14]:
“[14] If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Repent, fast, pray, and seek God’s face.
In the ’80s and ’90s in America, we had a line of Christian movies called “Left Behind.” These movies encouraged the church to sit on their prayer rugs and wait on Jesus. I was given a book from 1992 when I was studying in college to become a minister called He Came to Set the Captives Free. It tells the story of an ex–high priestess in the satanic church and how satan infiltrates churches in America and around the world, watering down the gospel in these churches.
The devil wants you sitting on your rapture rug doing nothing but waiting on Jesus to come while he steals, kills, and destroys this world and brings about the end. We have the power and authority not to allow that to happen and to actually be rich, healthy, and prosperous, along with holding back the end. So, ask the Holy Spirit what it is you should be doing in these end times, because you were born for such a time as this.
