Let Us Not Become Weary in Doing Good

Amid challenges from territorial spirits and personal trials in Japan, this sermon underscores the power of prayer, fasting, and unity in Christ to overcome adversity.

It is written in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” I am an American living in Japan with my family and Japanese in-laws. I went back to the U.S. in March of 2020 and got stuck there for three years due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions in Japan. I was finally able to return in November 2023 and have been fighting these territorial demons of Shinto and Buddhism ever since. These evil spirits have been here for thousands of years and do not want me here because I had grown as a Christian in my three years in the U.S.

It started with these spirits moving things in my home or turning on my computer, and Siri would ask me, “How can I help you?” Then they moved to my new car. My family and I got in one time, and when I started my car, white noise came on at about 115 decibels (as loud as a jet engine), and I could not turn it off for a while. Finally, Nissan had to replace the whole entertainment and navigation system under warranty because these spirits had ruined it.

I found a deliverance ministry on YouTube, Evangelist Fernando Perez, and I followed along and anointed my home and car with Holy Oil. Then these things stopped both in my home and car but moved on to attacking my health, my finances, and marriage. I read my Bible and pray in the morning and again at night, plus I watch sermons online as much as I can. I have been trained in spiritual battle a little by the Prophetess from Atlanta, GA, that I was under in Michigan, but I never finished my training as we were separated after seven years.

These spirits have closed all the doors and gates here in Japan for me in ministry, business, and politics that I should be involved with. Now God has opened up two doors for me to teach English at two different schools in the city next to ours. But it is only two days of work, and I was going to start an English school here in my city, but I do not have the license I need for that. In order for me to start a ministry, I need money and to meet other Christians here, but these evil spirits have blocked that as well. For example, I was giving money through a friend to two Philippine women who needed help financially, and the daughter was an artist and was drawing portraits of people for a small fee. So I said to her that instead of drawing my portrait, I would like you to draw a portrait of Jesus for my prayer room. My friend told me later that she and her mom were offended that I had asked her to draw a portrait of Jesus. It turns out they were both Catholics, and if you have read my previous sermons on Revelation 17 describing the Catholic Church, then it explains their offense.

Then there was a Lutheran church I was taken to, then to another Catholic Church, then I was emailing a church out of Tokyo and was asking them where to find a Bible in English here for another Filipino. I was just talking to them about what was happening in the world and what God was showing me, and all of a sudden, they stopped emailing back. The spirits of religion come in many denominations, and that is what Jesus fought when He walked the Earth, and it was the religious Pharisees and Sadducees who killed Jesus and hung Him on a cross!

I say all of this to say that everyone who is a Christian and is in God’s will, trying to do what God wants you to do, is fighting these evil spirits. You are not alone in this battle, and if these evil spirits are not fighting you, you may not be on the path God intended for you. This is why it is so important that we pray, fast, and repent of our sins that have opened doors to our enemy more than ever before. It is written in Proverbs 24:16: “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”

I just went through a couple of days where I was exhausted and very busy and did not pray or read my Bible like I usually do, so today I repented and took time away from my life to write this sermon. We as God’s Ekklesia must come together as the body of Christ and help each other in these hard times. We must throw ourselves and our situations at the Mercy Seat at the Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then focus on His perfect will for our lives. As we bless others and help each other, God Himself will provide all of our needs for us who believe in His Son. We must take great joy in honoring our Father in helping others over ourselves as Jesus did when He walked this earth.

It is written in 2 Corinthians 8:9: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.” It is also written in Hebrews 2:5-8:

[5] “It is not to angels that He has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. [6] But there is a place where someone has testified: ‘What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?’ [7] You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor [8] and put everything under their feet.”

In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present, we do not see everything subject to them. So Jesus, who was rich, became poor so we could become rich and that we would lack nothing here on earth. Then Jesus, being mindful always of man and caring deeply for man, crowned us with glory and honor and put everything under our feet. God left nothing that is not subject to us, and that includes these evil spirits and everything here on earth. You are not poor and never were poor; you are not weak and defeated and never were; you were meant to occupy until Jesus comes. Now the devil has divided us into religious denominations, and that has weakened the church. The veil between this third heaven and the second heaven, where these evil spirits reside, is ripping and getting thinner. So that is why it says in Hebrews 2, verse 8, “Yet at present, we do not see everything subject to them.” At that time in Scripture, in eschatology, the veil between the second and third heavens was fully functional, and we did not see or battle these spirits as we are today. If you walk the earth today, you were made for such a time as this and must rejoice in that fact.

The fact that God thought so much of you that He trusted you to fight and bring in the dead times coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a great honor to do so, and yes, we are in the end times, but it is not the end yet, so put away your rapture rugs! Sitting around and doing nothing on your prayer rug is a great sin and will only invite the enemy, the devil, into your life. Instead, be about your Father’s Business and Perfect Will and rejoice, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. We love you, and God loves you, and if you need a church to be part of, to listen to you and pray for each other, we are here for you 24/7, and we welcome you. Please just email us, and we will put you on our daily prayer list without end; that list is permanent, and we pray for you daily.

God bless you, and may the Shalom of God be over you and your family!

As us Italians/Americans would say,

“Ciao for now (Arrivederci per ora).”
