Crossroads between light and darkness symbolizing choosing God, covenant protection, repentance, and spiritual warfare.

If You Do Not Choose God, You Will Eventually Succumb to Your Enemies

This sermon warns that rejecting God and persisting in disobedience can open doors to spiritual attack. Using King Saul as an example, it calls believers to choose life, walk in humility, repent quickly, and return to God’s covenant protection through Jesus Christ.

We are in a spiritual battle against the devil and his demons that operate between this 3rd heaven and the 2nd heaven. They are not confined to time and space like we are, and if you think they have no power, you are just a fool.

It is written in Hebrews 2:

[14] Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the Devil.

So clearly here the Bible states that the devil holds the power of death.

As the prophet Julie Green says, “but God” — so the devil has to have God’s permission to do so, as it is written in Job 2:

[6] The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, he is in your power; only spare his life.”

The devil can gain access to your life through your sins, or in Job’s case where God was allowing the devil to test Job.

It is written in James 1:

[13] Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

So God does not test man, but He will allow the devil to test you if it’s His will.

There is a Court of Heaven, and the devil can gain legal ground into your life through your disobedience to God’s perfect will, precepts, covenants, or words. Also, when you choose Jesus His Son as your Lord and Savior, you are grafted into the Abrahamic covenant and Blood covenant of the cross of Jesus Christ. When you are under God’s covenants, you are protected and even blessed by those covenants as long as you are doing your best to do God’s perfect will.

“But God” also has a permissible will to give us time to choose His Son Jesus and to fulfill what is written about us in the Book of Life.

So the best thing to do in the first place is not sin, but all of us sin every day. So the next thing to do is walk in humility and repent as soon as you realize you have sinned.

King Saul: Disobedience, Rebellion, and Rejection

Let’s take a look at King Saul who knowingly and willfully sinned against God. It is written in 1 Samuel 15:

[22] And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

[23] For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

[24] And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

So this shows God can reject you from a position He gave you, like in the five-fold ministry, as He has been doing in the churches in America and around the world.

Our protections come from God, who is a good, good Father and wants the best for all of us. But He gives all of us free will because He is not a dictator, but loves us deeply.

Now King Saul hardened his heart against God instead of fully repenting to God, as it is written in 1 Samuel 28:

[4] Then the Philistines gathered together, and came and encamped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped at Gilboa.

[5] When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.

[6] And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.

[7] Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.”

King Saul also had been trying to kill King David, who God had Samuel anoint as the new King of Israel. Now he is seeking a witch.

King Saul did not heed the warning in the words of Samuel written in 1 Samuel 15:

[23] For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

It is also written in Exodus 22:

[18] Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

The Words of God written in the Bible are the living, breathing Words of God and are not one-dimensional, but are Holy Ghost inspired. So don’t take this as just a witch should not be allowed to live, but that anywhere in your life you have sinned and opened a door to the devil will start to die.

This is because disobedience, stubbornness, iniquity, idolatry, and rebellion in any area of your life cause that area to die by the hand of the devil and his minions. This is how they gain access into those areas of your life, and the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy, as is written in John 10:

[10] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Choose Life, Return to God, and Repent Quickly

It is also written in Deuteronomy 30:

[15] “See, I have placed before you today life and [a] happiness, and death and [b] adversity,

[16] in that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.

[17] But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but allow yourself to be led astray and you worship other gods and serve them,

[18] I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter [c] and take possession of it.

[19] I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your [d] descendants,

[20] by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding close to Him; for [e] this is your life and the length of your days, [f] so that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

Remember that all believing Gentiles were grafted into the Abrahamic covenant through the covenant of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

So please today choose God and the many blessings He has for you, and if you have been backslidden, then repent immediately. Then He will forgive you like it is written in Psalm 103:

[12] As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

God loves you and we love you, and if you have any prayer request, please e-mail us here at KRK Church. Then we will put you on our permanent daily prayer list and pray over you daily.

Prayer to Give Your Life to Christ

If you would like to give your life and heart to Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, who is the only way to the Father, then pray this:

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my sins, my ways, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill me with the Holy Spirit and the Love of Christ your Son. And help me to fulfill everything that is written about me in the Book of Life. May your Perfect Will, Covenants, and Precepts be done in my life as it is in Heaven. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me.

Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
