To Be Healed or Made Whole!

A reflection on the power of gratitude in Luke 17, highlighting faith, healing, and wholeness as lessons from Jesus’ encounter with the ten lepers.

It is written in [Luke 17:11-19]:

[11] And it came to pass as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
[12] And as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
[13] And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
[14] And when He saw them, He said unto them, “Go, show yourselves unto the priests.” And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed.
[15] And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice glorified God,
[16] and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
[17] And Jesus answering said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
[18] There are none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.”
[19] And He said unto him, “Arise; go thy way. Thy faith hath made thee whole.”

So we see here that Jesus at first healed ten lepers simply because they asked for healing. It is written in [2 Corinthians 1:20]: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” God answers all of our prayers Yes & Amen through “Him,” that is, through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior, just for asking. But it is through our appreciation & thankfulness to God & His Son Jesus Christ that we are made whole.

So basically, He healed or stopped the leprosy in all ten, and only one grew back the limbs, fingers, toes, or skin they had lost to the disease because he was thankful. This man was not even a Jew himself but a Samaritan, as Jesus came for the Jews first; when the Jews rejected the Messiah, He grafted in the Gentiles.

Have there been times in your life when God has healed you or given you a miracle, only for you to forget about it later? Then the same problems creep back into your life because you were not made whole, just healed or helped for that moment. How many times have all of us sinned and opened a door to the devil in our lives, and God answers our prayers and helps us, only for us to sin again?

This is why we must be thankful and praise God daily, in the morning and at night. It is written in [Psalms 92:1-4]:

[1] It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
[2] To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
[3] Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
[4] For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

The last verse states that the Lord has made me glad through His work, and the joy of the Lord is our strength. It is written in [Nehemiah 8:10]: “Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.'”

This praise, worship, thankfulness, and appreciation for all God has done and will do for us is indeed our strength. By keeping our eyes focused on God and the works He has for us, He will take care of all our needs and wants. God is a good, good Father; He is not just a loving Father—He is love, grace, mercy, and everything good in this world and the world to come.

Just look back to the Garden of Eden: Adam and Eve had full reign on this earth; they did not have to work, they did not get sick. Adam and Eve rejected God when they ate the apple, opening a door to the devil for all of us. But it was not God’s intention for us to have to work, to get sick, or to be sheep for the slaughter by the devil. We were made kings of the earth; what do you think it means when Jesus is called the “King of kings”? So who are the other kings? We are.

It is written in [1 Corinthians 6:2-3]: “In his letter to the church in Corinth, the apostle Paul tells us that believers will not only judge the world but also judge angels: ‘Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life.'”

We were made higher than the angels at birth, for we are the sons of God, and they are His servants. In Revelation, we, the Ekklesia, or bride of Christ Jesus, will be taken up to heaven first; then Jesus comes with His angels, then He comes back to heaven with His clothes stained with blood to get us to come back to earth with Him for the great judgment.

That was the short version, as my point is to get you to realize who you are in Christ Jesus, our Lord & Savior. You are royalty and a king (and yes, a king for all women, as in heaven there will be no gender distinction). These are end times in Revelation (not the end yet), and we will experience very difficult times after the American election, whether 45 wins or not. If 45 wins, the George Soros-paid Antifa or Black Lives Matter will burn down Democratic cities again as a distraction against Trump.

We also need to pray for the days between the election and the inauguration in January if 45 wins, as the cabal will pull out all their stops to enact martial law so 45 cannot take the presidency. We American Christians must repent for allowing these things to happen on our watch, as judgment starts in the church ([1 Peter 4:17]). Then we must fast, pray, and seek God’s face for America and this world—not to just be healed but to be made whole again like it was back in the Garden of Eden.

Now there will not be complete healing until our Messiah Jesus Christ comes back, so there will be hard times until then. But we can hold back the things the devil wants to do to bring on the end. It is written in [Daniel 7:25]: “He will speak against the Most High and oppress His holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times, and half a time.”

It is written in [Psalm 27:1-6]:

[1] The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
[2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
[3] Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
[4] One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
[5] For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
[6] And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

I say, cry out to the Lord, thank Him, and praise Him for what He has done, is doing, and is about to do on your behalf. In this, He will not only heal you but make you whole, just like in Daniel when he and his two companions were thrown into the fire but were not harmed at all. Jesus will be there as the fourth man that King Nebuchadnezzar saw in the fire, and Jesus will keep you safe through these difficult times ahead.

As it is written in [Psalm 91:8]: “Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.” (Please pray Psalm 91 over yourself and your family every day in the morning.) Psalm 27 is good as well. Prayer changes things, and all prophecy is conditional on our choices in God’s Ekklesia. And please, make sure you vote in the American presidential race if you are an American. Always pray for Israel, which stands between terrorist groups sponsored by Iran’s leadership (not the people) and us, to eliminate these terrorists and all threats to them and the rest of the world. There will never be 100% peace until Jesus comes, but we can live righteously and freely in the meantime!

Shalom & God bless all of you!
